The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) published a fact sheet regarding the hazards of lead-based paint.  The fact sheet, which you can read in its entirety below, also covers the requirements for sellers, landlords, and their agents to disclose hazards as well as provide information to buyers and tenants.
